Between the rugged coastlines, intense weather and the harsh North Sea then the Shetland Islands can come across as quite inhospitable. However, tens of thousands of people still choose to live here. Many even moved here from all over.

Shetland has a unique charm. It’s the culture, the people, the community and the landscapes. It’s the togetherness you feel in the brutality of the long dark winters and the ecstasy felt in the beautiful yet brief Summers. If asked to describe what Shetland means to me in only one word then I would simply answer ‘Home’. To me, that’s what Shetland is. And what it always will be. No matter where I go or what I do next Shetland will always be ‘Home’. That’s what I hope to capture in my work. This beautiful collection of islands with it’s amazing cliff edges, hills, lochs, beaches and more; I want to show it all. I want to experience it all. I want you to experience it all.

Thank you for choosing to witness this beautiful place I call home, through my eyes. I hope you can fall in love with the Shetland Islands as I have.
